GENERAL CONDITIONS AND SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

1. ORGANIZATIONAL AUTHORITY

Under the auspices of the Turkish Sailing Federation, the races organized by the 8th International Mermaid Cup Organizing Committee (Guru Management Consultancy and ARPR Communication Consultancy) will be hosted by Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club (“IAYYK“).

2. RACE OFFICE

The address of the Race Secretariat will be announced with additional instructions on September 01, 2023. Digital mails should be sent to sekreterlik@iayk.org.

3. RULES
   1. World Sailing (“WS“) Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2021-2024;
   2. World Sailing Special Offshore Regulation (OSR) 2022-2023;
   3. World Sailing Regulation 20 (Advertising Code);
   4. IRC Rules 2023 Part A, B, C;
   5. Turkish Sailing Federation (“TYF“) 2023 Rules
   6. International Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea (replaces RRS Part 2 Rules for the time between sunset and sunrise);
   7. Turkish Sailing Federation (TYF) General Yacht Racing Rules, Decisions on Principles, Announcement Regarding the Start of Yacht Races in 2023, Rules for Organizing Sailing Races, Athlete License Registration, Visa and Transfer Regulations, Disciplinary Offenses and Penalties Regulations, Sailing No Allocation Rules, Advertising and Carrying Rules, Sailing Referee Regulations;
   8. Notice of Race, Race Instructions and Supplementary Race Instructions, if any;
   9. In case of a conflict between the Instructions, the later of the Notice of Race and the Supplementary Instructions, if any, shall prevail.
   10. In case of conflict between languages, the Turkish text shall prevail.
   11. The nationality of the competing boat will be determined by the nationality of the team captain.
   12. On competing boats, except for the tactician position, the entire crew must consist of FEMALE sailors. Only the sailor in the tactician position can be an experienced and specialized sailing instructor and can be a male or female sailor. This position is limited to one person.
   13. The tactician will be at the helm when the start is given and this will be limited to 3 minutes, after which he/she will hand over the helm to the skipper, but will be able to intervene in case of safety risk. 

4. ADVERTISEMENT
   1. Boats can carry advertisements according to World Sailing Regulation 20 and TYF Advertisement Instructions.
   2. Boats with a valid advertising certificate approved by the national authority will submit a copy of the certificate to the Race Office together with their registration form.
   3. Sponsor flags/flags must be hung on the gurcatas or on the crosses. Sponsor advertising/border number stickers must be affixed as described in Article 21. Sponsor flags/flags may be hoisted during the race, but must be pinned before and after the race. Boats that do not hang their sponsor flags/flags and stickers may be penalized by the Protest Committee.

5. OPEN CLASSES, PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS AND REGISTRATION
   1. IRC class participation rules for all races:  2023 boats with an Endorsed IRC certificate,
   2. RALLY class participation rules for all races:

It is open to all sailboats and all local and foreign racers who do not have the 2023 Endorsed IRC certificate and who accept to compete in the RALLY class, who have the appropriate equipment to compete within the framework of safety rules, provided that they comply with the applicable regulations and instructions.

6. CLASSES AND HANDICAP SYSTEMS
   1. The boats registered for the race will compete in 2 (two) main classes as IRC, RALLY Classes.
   2. Within the scope of the cup, a total of 4 races (3 Windward Leeward races and 1 geographical race) are planned for the teams that will compete in each class.
   3. Time on Time (TOT) system will be implemented.
      1. For IRC classes; Corrected Time (CT) = Elapsed Time in Race (ET) x Time Correction Factor (TCF)
      2. Corrected Time (CT) = Time in Race (ET) x Time Correction Factor (TCF)
      3. TCF is calculated with the formula below for the RALLY classes. TCF=(0,2424x√R)/(1+0,0567x√R)R (Rating) = LOA (m) x 2,65 is the rating value with age discount applied to the value found.
      4. The spinnaker (symmetrical and/or asymmetrical) penalty for Wanderer classes is 10% more than their age-reduced rating value.
      5. The corrected rating values of boats with folding propellers in the VOYAGE class are increased by 5%.
      6. Corrected rating values of boats with movable keel in the VOYAGE class are increased by 5%.
      7. The boat with the lowest corrected time (CT) will be declared the winner.
      8. Seconds after the comma in corrected time (CT) calculations will be rounded up (to the next higher value if 50 or more).
      9. Since the result calculation and evaluation is based on the TOT system, the distances indicated on the routes are for information only and are not used in the calculations. If the distances are more or less than the announced distances, it will not be considered as a reason for a Correction Request.

7. BANDWIDTHS AND CLASS/WARNING PENNANTS
   1. Trophy band ranges:
      The competing boats will be judged in the following class band ranges.

1. 2. 2. The Race Organizing Committee may merge the class/divisions with a lower or higher group depending on the number of boats registered.
   3. All IRC  certified boats can participate in the races. Participating boats can only compete in the divisions they belong to according to their IRC classes and TCC values.
   4. Any boat that does not have a declaration for the “RALLY” class boat’s “year of manufacture, full length in meters (LOA), spinnaker (asymmetric/symmetric) and whether it will use balloons in the races and whether it has a movable keel and folding propeller” will not be allowed to participate in this race.
   5. In the event that all Classes start together, the Pennant Flag with the IAYYK Logo will be pinned in the committee as a class (warning) sign. 
   6. Number of Teams and Team Weight: 
      1. For IRC Classes, IRC Rule 22.4.2 has been removed and replaced with “The maximum number of crews racing shall be 2 more than the number of crews listed on the current IRC 2023 Endorsed certificate in IRC-0, IRC-1 and IRC-2 classes and one more than the number of crews listed on the current IRC 2023 Endorsed certificate in IRC-3 and IRC-4 classes. There is no weight limit”. 
      2. Media members who will be on the boat with the knowledge of the Race Organizing Committee are not included in this number.
      3. There will be no maximum crew number and crew weight limitations for the RALLY class in all races.
      4. The minimum crew number is five for the RALLY class. All kinds of safety equipment shall be suitable for the boat and in sufficient number and features according to the number of competing crews. There is no limit for the minimum number of crew for IRC classes.
   7. Boats shall not carry an anchor/anchor in the loch during the race, but an anchor equipped with an appropriate amount of chain and rope shall be carried in a safe place inside the boat. 

8. ROUTES 
   1. The routes and alternatives to be used in the race will be announced in the Supplementary Race Instructions.
   2. Before a boat crosses the start line, it shall be completely on the pre-start side and shall finish only after its own start signal, crossing the start line and following the indicated course. 
   3. If more than one course has been announced, the Race Committee will announce the course of the race with a warning signal or with a sound signal before the warning signal, by pinning the code pennant/number pennant/sign to the flag and announcing it on the VHF channel of the race. No Protest or Request for Correction may be made. This amends RRS 60.1 and 62.1(a).
   4. Whenever possible, the Race Committee will announce the compass bearing of the first turn buoy on the starting boat on the race VHF channel before the warning signal and, to the extent possible, will display it in writing from the committee boat. No Protest or Request for Correction may be made. This amends RRS 60.1 and 62.1(a).
   5. The Race Committee is not obliged to give the coordinates of the turning buoy(s). 
   6. When there are gate buoys on the race course, boats shall pass through the gate buoys in the direction of the race course. If one of the gate buoys is not in place for any reason, the only buoy present will be left on the dock and a turn will be made. 
   7. The distances given for the routes are only to give an idea, more or less than announced are not binding and will not be used in the calculations. No Protest or Request for Correction can be made. This amends RRS 60.1 and 62.1(a).
   8. Changes to the routes, start and/or finish lines will be at the discretion of the Race Committee. No Protest or Request for Correction can be filed. This amends RRS 60.1 and 62.1(a).

9. WARNINGS

It is strongly announced that the boats participating in the races should stay away from the natural obstacles and shallow waters within the course.

10. START LINE

For All Classes:

The start line is the line between the orange marker flag on the Committee Boat on the starboard side and the orange marker flag on the start buoy or Line Boat on the port side.

11. START

For All Classes:

The starting order will be announced with additional instructions.

12. FINISH LINE

For All Classes:

It is the line between the blue bearing flag on the Committee Boat on the starboard side and the finishing buoy on the port side.

13. OFFICIAL NOTICE BOARD OF THE RACE
    The 8th International Mermaid Cup Yacht Race whatsapp communication group will be used as the official announcement board of the race. The competing teams are obliged to follow the announcements and announcements made through this group during the races.

14. STARTING THE RACES AND RACE PROGRAM
    1. These races will be started in accordance with RRS 26 as follows.
    2. For all classes, 1 geographical race and 3 Windward Leeward races (Moda – Adalar Course) are planned.
    3. For Saturday, September 2, 2023, the first warning signal time will be 11:55.  
    4. For Sunday, September 3, 2023, the first warning signal time will be 10:55 am.  
    5. Start time is 15 (fifteen) minutes for all classes. This time is also valid for OCS boats.
    6. Boats that have not been given a warning signal shall stay away from the start line and the boats that have started/will start before them in a way that will not cause any damage. Those who act otherwise may be dealt with by the Protest Committee upon the request of the Race Committee.
    7. All boats will have stopped their engines before the preparation signal.
    8. The Race Program may be amended by the Race Organizing Committee with Additional Race Instructions.
    9. On Saturday, September 2, 2023, no warning signal will be given after 18.00. On Sunday, September 3, 2023, no warning flag will be given after 17.00 hours. If a warning signal is given within the time limit and a general recall is made, or if a postponement (AP) flag is raised due to an error during the operations, the operations will continue even if they exceed the announced time.

15. REGISTRATION
    1. Race registrations must be completed before 18:00 (IST) on Tuesday, August 29th. Registrations received after this date will not be accepted.
    2. Trophy race registration procedures must be done through the form available at https://form.jotform.com/232145317270953. The form on the Online Race Registration System must be filled in completely by the boat owner or the responsible person authorized in writing. The Boat Insurance Policy, if the boat carries advertisements, the advertisement carrying certificate and the authorization certificate given by the boat owner to the boat manager must also be sent to sekreterlik@iayk.org.
    3. In the Online Race Registration Form, the names of all athletes in the team must be written as indicated on the identity card. Otherwise the registration will be invalid. All competitors, except foreign athletes on boats, must have valid 2023 athlete licenses. For athletes under 18 years of age, written parental permission is required. The boat owner/responsible person is responsible for this. Temporary licenses will not be issued. Athletes without a license cannot participate in the race. Foreign national athletes will send their passport photocopies to sekreterlik@iayk.org instead of a license.
    4. REGISTRATION FEE :
       1. International teams Participation fee: 7.000 TL + VAT.
       2. Corporate Participation Fee; 7.000 TL + VAT.
       3. Individual Team Participation Fee; 4.500 TL + VAT.
       4. University Team Participation Fee; 2.500 TL + VAT.
       5. Registration Payments:
          Fees must be paid to the bank account below by specifying “boat name” or “sail number” in the description and the fee must be paid net.
          Bank receipts must be attached to the Race Registration Form. The registration fee must be paid at the time of registration.The registration fee is payable to ARPR İletişim

          no. of the registration form. The receipt of the payment or the Mail Order Form sent with the registration form must be sent by e-mail. The name of the boat / institution must be printed on the bank receipt. The receipt must be sent to sekreterlik@iayk.org.
    5. In case of any change in the team list specified in the registration forms, this situation shall be notified to the race office in writing, by e-mail to sekreterlik@iayk.org or via the messaging application in the race application until 1 (one) hour before the warning signal time announced for each day. Verbal changes will not be taken into consideration. The detection of a competitor on the boat who is not on the crew list or who is not on the boat despite being on the list may be grounds for disqualification by the Protest Committee.
    6. The boat owner/responsible person who registered the boat for the race will be on board during the races.
    7. The races are open to all local and foreign yachts and sailors, provided that they comply with the applicable regulations and instructions. There will be no license requirement for foreign athletes.
    8. The race committee is free to evaluate the general safety and seaworthiness of the yachts wishing to participate in the race and to decide whether or not to accept their registrations.
    9. Those who register for the race are deemed to have accepted this Notice of Race and all the rules to which this Notice of Race refers and to have accepted responsibility for them.

16. RECALL BACK

Boats that are given the Individual Recall signal are obliged to identify themselves and turn back and restart according to the rules. The Race Committee will warn the boats in this situation only in geographical races by calling out the sail number/boat name of the boats in this situation or by making a general broadcast on the VHF Channel of the race. The warning will not be considered as outside assistance and not being heard will not be grounds for correction.

17. TIME LIMIT
18. September 2, 2023 The time limit for the races on Saturday is until 19:30. September 3, 2023 The time limit for the races on Sunday is 18:30. Boats that fail to finish within this time limit will receive (DNF) points. 
    1. If the Race Committee is of the opinion that no boat in any class will be able to finish the race within its time limit, it has the authority to extend the race time by broadcasting on the VHF channel of the race before the end of the time limit of that class. In order to extend the time limit in any class, no boat from that class must have finished. No Protest or Correction Request can be made. This amends RRS 60.1 and 62.1(a).
    2. After starting, completing the course and the first boat in her class finishes within the time limit, the boat that does not finish within the time limit will be given a ‘Did Not Finish (DNF)’ without a hearing. This amends RRS 35, A4 and A5.
    3. The race time for Windward Leeward races is 120 minutes.
    4. No more than 3 races will be held on the same day.
19. PENALTY SYSTEM

A boat that violates one or more of the RRS Part 2 rules during the race will be assessed 2 (Two) Turn Penalties and a boat that violates RRS 31 will be assessed 1 (One) Turn Penalty. 

20. INSURANCE AND SAFETY
    1. The boat owner/responsible person participating in the race is obliged to take out liability insurance covering the boat, racers and third parties with a race clause included. It is the responsibility of the participants to check that their existing policies provide such coverage and to add the relevant endorsements to their insurance if necessary. The Organizing Committee, Race Committee, Protest Committee and Technical Committee are not responsible for checking whether the yachts or their crew are insured and shall bear no responsibility in this regard.
    2. It is recommended to use a life vest for life safety. Responsibility lies with the boat captain.
    3. According to World Sailing Special Offshore Regulations (OSR) 2022-2023, Annex B (Special Regulations for Coastal Racing) will apply. All required equipment must be in working order on board during the races, checked and maintained and not expired.

Violation of the safety provisions, any obstruction of the execution of the controls, and detected deficiencies and irregularities may be grounds for disqualification and penalization.

20. 4. The boats registering are deemed to have accepted that the safety equipment and material specifications specified in the World Sailing Special Offshore Regulations Category are complete. The responsibility in this regard belongs to the boat owner/responsible person.

21. BOAT NUMBERS / USE OF STICKERS

All boats must affix the race logo stickers given to them during the races on both sides of the bow of their boats with the numbers on the front. Boats without race logo stickers will have 5% time added to their corrected finishing time. The additional time will be added by the race committee without a hearing. 

22. DECLARATIONS, PROTESTS AND REQUESTS FOR CORRECTION
    1. The protest time limit for all races is 90 (ninety) minutes from the finishing time of the last finishing boat of this group in IRC 0, IRC 1, IRC 2 classes; 90 (ninety) minutes from the finishing time of the last finishing boat of this group in IRC 3, IRC 4 classes; and 90 (ninety) minutes from the finishing time of the last finishing boat of this class in RALLY class.
    2. Boats must stop their engines as soon as their own Preparation Signal is given. Boats that receive external assistance as a result of endangering the safety of life and property; start the engine to get rid of the obstacle and dangerous situation and continue the race; start the engine to charge the battery, provided that the shaft and propeller do not rotate, shall notify the Race Committee on the VHF channel of the race at the first opportunity and the Race Secretariat in writing before the protest time limit. The Protest Committee will evaluate the situation of the boats that have made a declaration and an appropriate time penalty will be given.
    3. If a boat fails to stop or start her engine from the moment her own preparation signal is given, even if she has given a declaration, the Protest Committee will impose a penalty up to DSQ.
    4. The owner or person in charge of the withdrawing/abandoning boat shall notify the Race Secretariat in writing at the earliest opportunity via the race VHF channel and before the protest time limit.
    5. The person in charge of a boat that has incurred a One Turn Penalty or Two Turn Penalties shall make a written declaration of these matters to the Race Committee over the VHF channel of the race at the earliest opportunity and to the Race Secretariat before the protest time limit. Those who do not make a declaration will be deemed not to have made a penalty turn.
    6. In special circumstances, the Protest Committee may consider a VHF announcement to be sufficient if an announcement has been received by the Race Committee.
    7. Protest meetings may be held via video conference or in an isolated area (preferably an open area) in accordance with the social distancing rules in line with the opinion of the protest committee, and protest forms may be submitted digitally or physically to the race secretariat in line with the opinion of the protest committee.
    8. TL 500 is allocated as a protest guarantee. This amount must be deposited to the account number where the registration fees are deposited within the protest time limits. In case of loss/refusal, it will be recorded as a refund. Protests will be considered on the day and time to be announced after the end of the protest period in accordance with Article 17.10 of the GDPR.
    9. Boats that start the engine after their own preparation signal and continue the race for any reason, provided that the shaft and propeller do not rotate for human rescue/rescue/emergency/battery charging or for any other reason, shall submit a detailed written report of the incident to the Race Office within the protest time limit. Action may be taken by the Race Committee and/or the Protest Committee for boats that do not comply. The decision on this matter rests with the Protest Committee. For rule violations, the Protest Committee may warn a boat, give time for correction, disqualify a boat with or without a disqualification (DSQ), add to the elapsed time in the race, impose a point penalty [10% (at least 2 places), 20% (at least 3 places), 30% (at least 4 places), 50% (at least 5 places)]. Penalties are assessed separately for each violation.
    10. Finish Penalty Declarations:

1. A boat that has finished the race in compliance with all the rules is considered to have finished when her hull crosses the finish line from the course side in her normal condition. There is no need to give a finish declaration.
2. If a finished boat that has crossed the finish line abandons the race for any reason after the finish, the person in charge of the finished boat shall notify the Race Committee in writing over the VHF channel of the race at the earliest opportunity and the Race Secretary in writing before the protest time limit.
3. Boats that have made a penalty turn shall notify the Race Committee on the VHF channel of the race at the first opportunity and the Race Secretariat in writing before the protest time limit. Those who act otherwise will be deemed not to have made the penalty turn.
4. Boats that receive external assistance as a result of endangering the safety of life and property and boats that start the engine to get rid of the obstacle and dangerous situation shall inform the Race Committee via the VHF channel of the race at the first opportunity. Their situation will be evaluated by the Protest Committee and the appropriate penalty will be applied. The decision on this matter belongs to the Protest Committee.

1. 11. The language of the protest hearings will be Turkish. It is the responsibility of both parties to provide interpreters for themselves and their witnesses. The absence of the interpreter does not change the time of the hearing.

23. FLANDERS

Buoys are colored orange, yellow and white, and the inscriptions, logos, numbers and symbols on them are not grounds for correction.

24. SCORING 
    1. RRS Annex A “Less Points” System will be applied. 
    2. IRC Results will be calculated with Time on Time using TCC. 
    3. Time on Time system will be applied in the RALLY Class and the results will be calculated with the formula CT (Corrected Time) = ET (Time in the race) x TCF (Time Correction Factor). 
    4. In the cup, which is planned as 4 races in total, evaluation will be made on the races that can be done. The results will be obtained according to the sum of the points obtained by multiplying the points of each race by their coefficients. In case of equality in points, the equality will be broken according to RRS A8
    5. Race coefficients: The coefficient of the races to be held during the Cup will be 1 (one).
    6. There will be no race throwing.

25. SHORING LIMITATIONS, DIVING EQUIPMENT and PLASTIC POOLS

Boats shall not be towed ashore, shall be afloat, and no diving equipment or other equipment of any kind shall be used around the boat for any purpose whatsoever between the preparatory mark of 2 September 2023 and the end of the protest time limit of the last race on 3 September 2023 without prior written permission from the Race Committee or the Protest Committee.

26. RADIO COMMUNICATION
    1. Boats must have a VHF marine radio and it must be switched on during the races. Unless otherwise specified, racing boats are required to listen to the race VHF channel (73) and channel 16 if available. Listening to these channels is important to receive timely information about the race.
    2. Boats are not allowed to make private radio transmissions during the race except in emergencies. It is forbidden to direct the races or give or receive assistance by contacting third parties (directly or indirectly) via radio and/or cell phone.
    3. Boats are not permitted to communicate with the Race Committee to give directions, instructions, suggestions or criticism. The Race Committee is under no obligation to respond to any radio message.
27. WHATSAPP CONTACT GROUP 

The whatsapp group created by the race committee will be used for race and referee committee announcements and all skippers are required to follow this group during the race. The phones given during registration will be added to the group by the race committee. You can inform the race committee about the phones you want to add to the group via 05326832045 or sekreterlik@iayk.org e-mail address.

28. CUPS AND AWARDS
     are applied as specified in the TYF 2023 Code of Principles. For classes that do not comply with article 5.2. of TYF 2023 Code of Principles, the organization may give special awards to the first, second and third place for each class.
    1. Evaluation will be made based on the races sailed. At the end of the series, the boats with the least points in total will win a trophy. 
    2. 8th International Mermaid Women’s Sailing Cup Regatta: In IRC 0,1,2,3,4 and RALLY divisions, the first, second and third places in each division will be awarded the International Mermaid Women’s Sailing Cup Yacht Race prize according to the overall total score. 
    3. The winning boats according to the overall results for IRC 0-1-2 and IRC 3-4 will be awarded the 8th International Mermaid Women’s Sailing Cup Overall Trophy.
29. RESPONSIBILITY
    1. Acceptance of Rules: By participating in this race governed by the rules set out in this Notice of Race, each competitor and boat owner or person in charge:

1. That the race would be governed by these rules,
2. It agrees that it will accept the penalties and other actions to be imposed under the Code and, without prejudice to its rights of appeal and review, that it will accept that any case that may arise will be decided in accordance with the Code and that it will not apply to any legal authority or court in connection with such a decision.

1. 2. Race Decision: In accordance with RRS Basic Rules 4, the responsibility for a boat’s decision to enter or continue racing rests solely with the owner or responsible person and those racing on board.
   3. The organizers of these races, the IAYYK Club Management, the Race and Protest Boards and the sponsors of the race, if any, shall not bear any responsibility whatsoever for any loss, damage, harm, including death and injury, including death and injury to the boats, the competitors, the boat owner or the responsible person and other crew, including any direct or indirect loss, damage, damage to the boats, the competitors, the boat owner or the responsible person and other crew, in the races or in the preparation stages of these races, the Race Announcement and the Supplementary Race Instructions, the Race Route and the decisions taken. The boat owner or responsible person who registers for the race and the racers participating in the race will be deemed to have accepted this in advance.
   4. The owner or boat owner of a boat competing in that race is the person in charge of the boat. During the race, the Race Organizing Committee, the Race Committee or the Protest Committee will be dealt with by him/her or the person authorized by him/her in writing. The boat owner/responsible person is responsible for any verbal/written communication or radio communication other than his/her own or authorized person.
   5. Those who register for the race are deemed to have accepted that they are responsible for this race announcement and all rules to which this race announcement refers.

30. RIGHT TO USE VISUAL MATERIAL

All racers participating in the races agree in advance that the Race Organizing Committee and/or its Sponsors may make any and all visual recordings related to the races, broadcast and/or have the recordings broadcast live and/or on tape without any time and time limitation, take photographs, and use the photographs for any and all purposes.

31. EQUIPMENT AND MEASUREMENT CONTROL

The boat owner and the boat manager are jointly responsible for the boat measurements, the validity of the declarations made during registration and the compliance of the boat with its certificate.

Boats may be inspected before or after the race at the request of the President of the Racing Committee or a measurer appointed by him without any protest.

32. RACE COMMITTEE BOATS

Race Committee Boats and Vessels shall fly the “RC” flag. Failure to do so will not be grounds for a Request for Correction.

33. MEDIA RIGHTS

The racers, boat owners and their guests agree and declare in advance that all photographs or video footage of people or boats taken during the event may be used by the Organizing Authority, Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club and the sponsors of the race for writing or advertising purposes, for live or taped broadcasting, for sharing with the media and/or for publication in the press.

34. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION [GDPR]

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (GDPR), Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club will use the information provided by the participants of the race only for IAYYK race event management purposes.   This data will be kept in accordance with the LPPD and will not be shared with any third party or used for marketing purposes other than communicating with the participants of the events via e-mail, mail, SMS and telephone with information about this event or future events.

35. LITTERING IN WATER

Boats will never throw their garbage into the water. The Protest Committee may take action against those who act otherwise.

36. AWARD CEREMONY

Place and time will be announced on the official announcement board of the race.
