Mermaid National Women Sailing Cup which has been organized since 2016 become an International in 2020 as the very first Women Sailing Cup in Turkey. It is organized under the umbrella of Turkish Sailing Federation. The Cup’s mission is to develop the interest and awareness of women for sailing, to create a supportive platform for new women sailors and create public awareness. By becoming International and reaching out global women sailors, Mermaid National Women Sailing Cup expands its mission.

Participations are made in 4 categories: International , Corporate , Individual & Universities. INTERNATIONAL Category ; Sailing team members should have min 16 h training. In the need of a boat and supervisor rental service the teams will be provided with the options from the local Sailing-Training Schools. CORPORATE Category; 1) Corporates with existing women's sailing team and 2) Corporates considering establishing a new women's sailing team INDIVIDUAL Category; Women interested in sailing can form a team and participate in the Cup by taking fundamental sailing training, supervisor and boat rental services. UNIVERSITIES Category; Universities sailing club's can participate with their girls sailing team.

“The Mermaid International Women's Sailing Cup’’ aims to increase women's interest in sailing, to train new sailors and to create the platform for international women sailing teams to unite and contribute to the common mission. Within the scope of the cup, there are opportunities for cooperation in the categories of right of name and main sponsorship, co sponsorship and service / product sponsorship.
